    Wheeee!

Kate and Erik will be visiting us the 11th-14th, and Mike now lives with us…so we’ll just have to have a Grinnell welcome home!

Woot! Kate and Erik Hanson will be here the 11th to the 14th, so we’ll have to have a big old Grinnell welcome home party!

Hi, Electra! I’d love to meet you & see Roy again after you get back – I’m planning to visit Portland (some time in September or October) and might even be moving out that way in November (hence the visit).

You guys have been in Japan for what, 3 years now? Are you looking forward to coming back? Congratulations on your acceptance to NCNM! You will rock that.

    Hey Rikhei!
I’d love to meet up! So, what may bring you to Portland in November?

It has indeed been three years. We are both looking forward to the return and saddened at the distance that will be between us and our Japanese friends. Y’think parting ways after Grinnell graduation is sad? …. Well, OK, so it’s probably equally sad. But tickets to and from Sapporo run about $1600, so I can’t see many visits thataway.
    Anyway, woo!

Yay meeting up! I’ll probably book my tickets in about a month but I will drop you a line when I know the dates I will be in town.

To answer your question, I recently landed a new job with a library software company. I will be working from home, so I can work from anywhere. Which means I can move just about anywhere. :)

Portland has always seemed awesome, and several people have told me they think I’d like it there. (In fact, you were probably one of the first people to get me thinking about it!)

I’m sorry that tickets to Sapporo are so expensive. I shall hold out hope for the development of teleportation!
