From Days Inn & downtown locations, walk on 6th Avenue to SW Salmon, then walk E down that block to the "Salmon & 5th -- stop ID 5020". You can also take the "DOWNTOWN ONLY" bus to get to Salmon. Board 15 "Belmont to Parkrose TC" or "Belmont to 92nd" or "Belmont to 60th" (all at same place). The bus will cross the Willamette River on the Morrison Bridge. After the Willamette, the streets are numbered sequentially with "MLK Jr." = 5th and "Grand" = 6th as the only exceptions. Get off at "SE Belmont & 17th". (Feel free to ask the bus driver to let you know when that stop is -- it is part of their job to announce requested stops. Walk due south (no crossing the street or anything) about one block until you reach the only building that is gray and has a parking lot. It is also across the street from the slide in the playground. ;-) Our apartment, #1003, is on the South Side (away from Belmont) up the stairs.
Another option is to take the "14 Hawthorn" from anywhere on 5th North of the 15 stop, and take that across the Willamette (crosses on the Hawthorn Bridge) until you get to 16th St. Cross the street to the North side, walk 1 block East to 17th, and walk North 4.5 blocks.
From Convention Center area walk to "NE Grand and NE Multnomah" and find the stop for the "70 12th Ave to Milwaukie TC" bus. Take this East->South. Get off at SE 11th and SE Belmont. Walk about 6 blocks East (up the hill) or catch the 15 (Belmont) at SE Belmont and SE 12th. Get off at Belmont and 17th.
